[The camera turns on to show what appears to be an actual cabin in the woods, quite small, but complete with a roaring fire blazing in the hearth. The man holding the camera is wearing full Mountie regalia, including a Stetson hat, and looks pleased as punch.]

My thanks for the accommodations, Admiral. It's rather more space than I need, but I'm sure I'll finds ways to fill it.

[There's a bark from offscreen, and the man raises an eyebrow and says, quite pointedly:] No. Not with Krispy Kremes. We don't even have a Krispy Kreme on board, as far as I know.

[He turns his attention back to the camera, clearing his throat.] I beg your pardon, everyone. My name is Constable Benton Fraser, RCMP. I first came to the Barge-- well, that's not important right now, but I'll be here as a warden for the time being. I'm very much looking forward to it. [Horrifyingly, this appears to be genuine.]

In ports, if there's a form of currency we're usually given a certain amount of it. Our items always register the position of our inmate. The majority of the time an inmate can't disembark without a warden representing them. Occasionally ports are also missions, in which only details and necessary supplies are given. I suspect these are relationship building exercises.

Breaches generally mean you're not going to remember who you are and you take the identity of an alternate universe version of yourself. You will not be in control of your body, nor will you remember you are you until afterwards. All individuals caught in a breach are not responsible for their actions.

I recommend you write yourself some notes. Because sometimes, you do end up forgetting.

My notepad saved me once when I couldn't remember exactly who I was. I forgot a whole language that I'd learned in my time here because- ...well, none of us can remember who, just that our memories at the time were botched.

Fortunately it came back when the matter was corrected or there woulda been a whole lot of notes that would have been gibberish until I relearned it.
